Really useful link. Setup MS SQL User rights properly and you donโ€™t have any major issue in this. Smile

Using FTP Virtual Host Names – Single user multiple website on single server in IIS

leave a comment »

There is one case when we have IIS with multiple website hosted and we need to assign ftp to each folder for single user.

Following is article which shows how to setup the ftp and the access mechanism:

http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/320/using-ftp-virtual-host-names/

If you face any difficulties in the ftp and getting error, you can verify the logs of ftp to see detailed information:

IIS on Windows 7 Home Edition

with 2 comments

Today, I have tried a lot to install IIS on windows 7 home edition. I have option to install IIS but got no selection for installing the IIS console. It seems that we need to use the Ultimate edition of windows for IIS to work fully on Windows 7.

If there are any workaround or if I am missing something, please post me answer ๐Ÿ™‚

At least, for now, I believe that Ultimate Windows 7 is needed to install IIS Console.
